When you visit the Maxpay Website or use the Maxpay Platform, a small cookie file might be placed on your computer or mobile device. We will analyze data from the cookies and use it to improve the quality of our services, track your activities with the Maxpay Website, and keep your account safe.
Any personal information that we collect and store through the use of non-essential cookies is first obtained through notice and consent. We obtain your consent by providing you with a transparent notice of use of the cookies and, to the extent described herein, providing you with the opportunity to make a choice to disable these cookies. Essential cookies are deployed based on strict necessity to provide the services you request.
This Cookie Policy is a part and shall be read in conjunction with Maxpay Privacy Notice and Terms of Use. Capitalized terms used in this Cookie Policy shall have the meanings ascribed to them in the Privacy Notice.
A cookie is a small text file stored in a computer’s web browser memory.
There are two main types of cookies based on their duration:
Session cookies – they help you not to re-enter information and be recognized each time you change web pages. Session cookies are deleted automatically after you leave the Website or when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies – they help us to recognize you each time you return to the Maxpay Website and remember your preferences for viewing the site. Such cookies are stored on your device until deleted by you or automatically after their expiration.
Cookies may be placed on your device by Maxpay or a third party’s domain:
First-party cookies – session and persistent cookies that are placed by Maxpay.
Third-party cookies – cookies placed not by the Maxpay Website but by other domains, which help to gather browsing activity across numerous websites and during several sessions. Depending on their specific function, third-party cookies may be temporary session cookies or persistent cookies that remain until they expire or are deleted
We can use cookies for:
Authentication. When you log in to the Maxpay Website or Maxpay Platform, we use cookies to remember you so you don’t have to log in each time you leave the main page and navigate throughout the Maxpay Website.
Fraud Prevention. With the help of cookies, we can obtain information about the security of your device and web browser used to access the Maxpay Website or Maxpay Platform and to detect harmful or illegal use of Maxpay Services.
Settings. We can use cookies to remember your settings for Maxpay Services so you don’t have to change them each time you access the Maxpay Website or Maxpay Platform. For example, to remember your progress or specific state within the Maxpay Platform or to use the language or font you prefer.
Improving Maxpay Services. We use cookies to understand how we can make the Maxpay Website and Services better. Cookies help us to know how people reach the Maxpay Website, detect and gather reporting on bugs, improve functionality and speed of the Maxpay Website and the Maxpay Platform.
Marketing. From time to time, we can use cookies to show you more relevant ads, e.g., to not show the same ads multiple times or recognize actions across multiple devices or browsers, etc. We reserve the right to use Google Analytics to understand how the Maxpay Website or Maxpay Platform is used by its users. You can opt out of Google Analytics Advertising Features as described below.
Based on their purpose, cookies can be classified into:
Essential cookies - these cookies are necessary because they ensure the Maxpay Website and Maxpay Platform functionality. Without them, some parts of our Website or services that you’ve asked for may not be available or provided. Essential cookies are always enabled.
Statistics cookies - these cookies help us to understand how people interact with the Maxpay Website and Maxpay Platform. With statistics cookies, we can monitor your behavior on the Site, e.g., which web pages you have visited, what the duration of your visits is, and which clicks you have made. We use statistics cookies for analytics and collect aggregated information that allows us to make our Website and service features better.
Advertising cookies - these cookies are used to customize advertising of Maxpay Website, services and products, to manage our advertising campaign, and to monitor conversion results. With advertising cookies, we can regulate the number and frequency of Maxpay advertisements shown to you. They allow you to see from which advertisement you have been redirected to our Site. In our advertising campaign, we may use third-party technologies and promote the Maxpay Website and Platform on third-party websites via Google services, Facebook, LinkedIn, Quora. These third parties may also place cookies on your device that are not controlled by Maxpay. To disable such cookies, you need to check the cookie policy of the relevant third party and follow its opt-out instructions.
There are other technologies used by us to track your activity on the Website or when you use the Maxpay Platform.
Web beacons (web pixels) are small graphics helping to understand browsing activity, track conversion and optimize ads. These graphics files are downloaded when you visit the Website or use the Maxpay Platform.
Session and Local Storage objects are files that can be stored on your browser and can be used to detect preferences, to record the history of usage, or to remember settings of the Website or Platform. Files stored in “Session Storage" are automatically deleted when you leave the Website or when you close your browser. Files stored in “Local Storage" are persistent. To delete “Local Storage” files, you need to clear browsing data.
Hotjar. Maxpay may use Hotjar, a technology tool that helps understand users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.). Hotjar uses cookies to collect data on users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our Site. For further details, please see the ‘about Hotjar’ section of Hotjar’s support site.
Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a third-party technology that allows the collection and analysis of information about how you use the Maxpay Website and services and create relevant reports. Google provides a Google Analytics opt-out plug-in for the web.
Google Ads. Google Ads is a service that helps to enhance the advertising efficiency of Maxpay services and products and to display our advertisements on other websites across the Internet. For Google Analytics Advertising Features, you can opt-out through Google Ads Settings.
UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) tags. UTM tags are used to improve the user interaction experience with the Maxpay Website and to analyze statistical results of our advertising campaigns on different resources. The UTM tag parameters, including referring link, are integrated into the advertisements of Maxpay Website, products and services shown on different Internet resources, including, without limitation, social media resources such as Facebook, LinkedIn etc. Once the user clicks on the advertisement, the user is redirected to the Maxpay Website, where they are offered the opportunity to provide consent to statistics cookies. After we receive the user’s consent, a unique user identifier associated with the relevant UTM referring link is assigned and stored by the user’s browser in the form of cookies. This data allows us to recognize users’ browsers and enables us to analyze their interaction with the Maxpay Website (e.g., which pages he visits and how much time spends there), as well as the number and frequency of unique Website visitors. This data is aggregated for statistical purposes and is used for the improvement of the Maxpay Website, products and services. UTM cookies allow us to see the channel therefrom user was redirected to the Maxpay Website, which enables us to evaluate the effectiveness of different advertising campaigns that we use to advertise and promote the Maxpay Website, products and services. UTM cookies are persistent cookies that are stored on the user’s device until they expire or are deleted, as detailed below. The data related to the use of UTM tags and UTM cookies may be transferred and checked by us in Google Analytics.
